Many of us like this anime Entitled Violet Evergarden, the story is very interesting and with good graphics. But as Anime Lovers we still Have questions will The Violet Evergarden story Will Be continued to S2. This Question came out because some people still doubt the death of mayor gilbert(leader of violet).

If  We See From That Came Out and from my Observation(search in google) there are some reviews that I see some easter egg.

1.Trailer

Someone from Youtube told me that Major Gilbert is still alive because of the trailer that we see on Youtube. there is a glimpse of the scene that mayor gilbert appears with a wound in his right eye.

Wounds in his right eye (if seen from reader position his left eye) may be caused by shots released by enemy soldiers several times and hit his right eye

2. Violet expression

Expressions issued by Violet in episode 13 (ending) When violets get assignments to the client's house. when the door opens and after the violet greetings there is a shocked expression that comes out from Violet after the expression surprised that the violet is smiles

Here may not be too strong evidence whether Major Gilbert is still alive but there are a few things:

1.  Violet's client turned out to be Major Gilbert
2.  Violet met a client she already knew
3.  Violet is shocked by the client's condition (at least not possible)

Only a few possibilities after I watched the video.

3. Cutscene when violet has been found

when violet is found in the cutscene There Are Several Irregularities, that is violet found
fainted alone in the middle of the ruins of the building

In the picture above is the moment where Violet was found, from the results of my research Violet could be lying in front of the stairs because Major Gilbert saved Violet when the building was detonated by enemies

Besides, is a picture where the violet tries to save his major even though both of his hands break

The picture beside is the situation where Major Gilbert saved the evergarden Violet from the explosion caused by his enemy

Most likely Major Gilbert was killed by the bomb blast to save Violet
